Kantan Gera – The Songs Our Saina Sang

June 10th, 11:00 am – 1:00 PM – Multi-Purpose Room

CHamoru teacher and musician (and one of our former docents), Andrew Gumataotao
and oral historian, Toni Ramirez will give a brief history of music on Guam, and talk about
the role that music played during the war. Participants will learn how to sing songs, such as
‘Hagu i Flores’, ‘Ramon San’ and ‘Uncle Sam’, some of the songs most affiliated with this era.

Multi-Purpose Room

This is a great space to hold your next executive meeting, training session, workshop or seminar, and can comfortably accommodate 40-50 people. A variety of seating configurations are possible. Food and beverages are permitted, as are working lunches. However, catering arrangements must be made by the organization renting the facility. Please see our list of preferred vendors.
