HITA Talk: The Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture: Looking Back and Moving Forward

Saturday, February 17, 2018 — 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. — Museum Indoor Theater

In 2016, Guam hosted the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture. In commemoration of this achievement and in exploring the festival’s role in showcasing and preserving CHamoru culture, the Guam Museum brings the chairpersons of each of the five 12th FestPac art committees together for a panel discussion.   Rosa Salas Palomo (Forums, Workshops and Seminars), Ron J. Castro (Visual Arts), Zina Ruiz (representing Eileen Meno for Performing Arts), Selina Onedera-Salas (Literary Arts) and Dr. Judy Flores (Traditional Arts, Demonstrations and Exhibitions) will reflect on the experiences and significance of the 12th Festival, as well as at the vibrancy of CHamoru art and culture.  This event is free and open to the public.
