“Visualizing History” features curated artworks and objects from Flores’ personal collections, inviting audiences to view her personal story of growing up in Inarajan, raising a family with her husband, Juan Flores, her scholarly pursuits in Micronesian Studies and the Art of Oceania, and her involvement in the transformation of art in Guam. Tied with her story is the history of Guam’s contemporary art scene and the struggle to articulate and express CHamoru identity.
